ONA Marine have designed and supported fabrication of 4 x 20Te Clump Weight Baskets. These baskets are designed to take either 4x5Te or 2 x 10Te concrete clump weight opening up flexibility and lowering installation costs. The clump weights will be used to moor spar navigation buoys in approximately 20m of water. The steel baskets are fritted with anodes and are built on a 100mm slab of solid steel to facilitate installation of the buoy and laying on sea bottom before installation of concrete clump weights.
ONA Marine were able to collaborate with the operator and installation dive contractor to make sure all handling and technical requirements were met. The clumps will be positioned on the vicinity of pipelines and so on bottom stability and ease of accurate installation were paramount.
