ONA Marine designed and developed a skid based modular pump pontoon for a mining industry client to support tailings dam operations in New South Wales.
The pontoon was engineered to accommodate Orca Heavy Duty dewatering pumps in a vertical orientation, complete with associated spool connections. Its modular design incorporates off-the-shelf buoyancy modules, deck treads and handrails, providing safe access for maintenance and operational activities.
The galvanised steel, cage-style structural modules can be readily assembled onshore and launched using a crane, providing a practical and efficient installation solution.
