News · August 26, 2023

ONA Marine recently visited a yard in Queensland on behalf of a maritime client who had a series of AtoN special purpose buoys experiencing design problems with the implementing synthetic stretchers, resulting in unexpected failures.

ONA Marine has a wealth of experience in the building and development of stretcher solutions across marine and AtoN mooring systems. We understand the importance of full-service solutions from design to implementation and support clients across the Australasian region.

The buoys and associated light structures were particularly prone to storm conditions and suffered a number of failures relating to excessive motions and fatigue. ONA Marine is working closely with our maritime client to provide cost-effective support and remediation services to bring the buoys back into service with a robust integrity baseline.
