ONA Marine recently sold a batch of single helix screw anchors for hand installation in the tidal areas of the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
The screw anchors were designed for muddy bottoms with a single helix on each. The screw anchors were drilled to enable installation of brackets post embedment. ONA provided a suitable spanner to enable single of double handed installation. All units were galvanised to support the deployment corrosion targets. We often specify screw anchors for deployment as environmentally friendly moorings however in this instance the anchors formed environmentally friendly (recoverable) foundations for research and study.
A total of 15 screw anchors were sold for the local research community under the remit of Department of Primary Industries & Regional Development (DPIRD)
