Case Study | Design of Diver Installed Clump Weights
ONA were able to design specialised combined steel and concrete gravity base structures to act as mooring anchors for navigation buoys.
ONA working in accordance with company and engineering best practice standards, designed the clump weights to moor spar buoys. The design brief was to provide initial weighted stability with supplementary capacity provided by 7Te concrete clump weights. The padeye connection at top included additional shackle positions to facilitate wet handshake during installation. Working together with the divers these clump weights could be readily installed in several steps.
