ONA were contracted to design and oversee the manufacture and installation of 18Te in line mooring clump weights with rated load bars.Execution
Utilising the latest design and engineering tools, ONA delivered state of the art clump weight to replace existing weights in the field. The weights were designed to take advantage of stock heavy cement and aggregate mixes ensuring the longevity of the clumps were never compromised for short term weight gains. The padeyes and shackle connections were reinforced to minimize wastage and enable ready inspection throughout their subsea life.Outcome & Benefits
The clump weights were successfully designed in house and built by Civmec under ONA guidance for deployment in the field on time and budget.
